Pre War
Before the war there were a large group of people living in the region as separate tribes, roughly five of them. Consider the Inuit. They were down here hunting large beasts of the sea, “Whales” and created some of their own culture which spawned a lot of the Warlock powers known of through the land today. Their powers created the Djinn who are still prevalent within the region. A child from the East came to the land and showed a great power convincing many that he was one of the patrons they followed. He used this as a means of growing power. This was the great lich of World End who later fought in the Great Race War. However, at the time he was only a necromancer with incredible powers. He used the following of the warlock tribes to begin ruling the area and eventually creating the small town of World End where his power began corrupting the lands, freezing their surroundings. The Great Race War happened and he used the victims he captured as a means to experiment further with his powers eventually unlocking the secrets to immortality, though it came with a cost turning him into a lich. He kept the bodies and raised an army after the war seeking to take over a larger part of the world and eventually ruling over the greatest kingdom in the south, However a group of adventurers stopped him at the behest of a Warlock tribe leader and locked him away until the current day. His phylactery was never found and thus he is still in the region and his power continues to corrupt the land making it one of the hardest areas in the south to live.
Post War
The only thing I have right now in mind is a wizard from the great race war found a way to become immortal during the war. He managed to set himself up as the ruler of World End after the war and started growing in power. It was until slightly later that people started getting suspicious as rumors from the war were spread about him being killed several times only to see him again on the battle field seeking his revenge. He begins raising an army of undead when people start to question him. The army protects and kills those that would stand against him. He begins growing in power and it starts to drive him to collect more power. He seeks to spread across the land but the City of Kyaht and the roaming tribes of what would become Elenore block his advances. Eventually it is realized that he cannot be beaten so instead people seek to seal him away for the rest of eternity. The deed is accomplished and an order of knights is set up to guard over his crypt. They train in a place that becomes Brickstone. The order does not let it be known that their main purpose is to guard the lich’s keep and instead work under the guise of producing suitable guard for the city of World End. Only those that the upper echelon deem fit enough to keep vigilant with the task are inducted to the hidden truth.
